The Nutribullet nutrition extractor has been advertised heavily on television, with focus on the product not being a blender, nor a juicer, but a “Nutritional Machine” able to produce a “Nutri Blast” by “extracting” the nutrients. They sell the products for a total of AUD$283.99 whereas the same product is sold in the United States for under AUD$100 (From Amazon). Unfortunately, due to Australia having different electrical voltage, customers are unable to buy the product from the US and have it shipped to Australia. In addition to this, the warranty is also voided by the Australian NutriBullet seller.
Australian company Optimum Appliances however, sell the globally recognised Optimum range of appliances, reviewed by many (including Choice and on Product Review Australia) as one of the highest-quality appliances on the market, able to outlast and outperform the NutriBullet nutrition extractor with the same tasks and more, whilst also extracting the nutrients for easier digestion and optimum nutrition. With our focus on quality as well as performance, Australia’s Optimum© has proven to be a world class supplier of quality domestic and commercial blenders and juicers.
The Optimum Nutri-8200 extracts the nutrients of food, retains its fibre and breaks down the enzymes for easier digestion. Whilst the Nutribullet nutrition extractor claims to be able to perform certain functions similarly, there are many functions and tasks the Optimum Nutri-8200 can perform that the NutriBullet nutrition extractor cannot.
There are many functions and tasks the Optimum can perform which the NutriBullet nutrition extractor cannot. The main ones include :
- Freezing fruit into ice-creams & sorbet.
- Crushing Ice
- Making Smooth Nut Butters
- Creating & heating soups (By simply blending water and vegetables).
- Kneading Dough
- Grinding Hard Spices
- Chopping and Slicing for Food Prep
- Mixing Omelettes
- A Self-Cleaning Function

I spent hours studying reviews on blenders as I wanted to start making healthy daily smoothies. By and large the reviews for the NutriBullet are not good (they tend to start smoking after a few months and getting money back was often hard for purchasers). I stumbled across the Optimum and saw the reviews were consistently fantastic plus it's an Australian product with a 5 Years warranty so I went ahead and bought the Optimum 8200 in May this year. I have used it every day and am thrilled with it…. I am honestly so very very pleased, it has exceeded my expectations. A terrific Aussie product, highly recommended.

I have a genetic disease that attacks my joints stopping exercise and my husband is an insulin dependant diabetic. Now we know our problems can't be cured but since we have been using Optimum 8200 we are feeling so much healthier. We tried the NutriBullet and gave it away. We are about to go travelling across the country in our caravan and guess what was packed first? We love our smoothies morning and lunch.

Was researching Nutribullet and bad reviews led me to get the Optimum 8200, being swayed by its superior power and five-year guarantee compared with other similar products.
The 8200 is a superb blender pulverising all manner of veg and fruits into smoothies in no time.
It's the best kitchen decision I have made.

I was going to buy a Nutribullet so went on Google to look at reviews. Came acroos the Froothie web page. Decided to buy an Optiblend 8200. Wow, am I glad I did. This blender is amazing and so easy to use and clean. I couldn't believe how fastit blended everything. Since buying my Optiblend I have heard so may bad reports about the Nutribullet blowing up etc. After all, it does only have a 600watt motor!! Thank you Froothie!
Froothie Optimum blenders and slow juicers are absolutely the best quality you could ever expect to buy! …I have the Optimum 9400 Blender + the Optimum 400 slow juicer.
If you were thinking if buying the Vitamix blender.... I suggest that you reconsider and opt to buy the Froothie Optimum blender if your choice instead. You only need to watch one of the many FROOTHIE TV demo videos on youtube, to see what these powerful blenders can do and make! Icecreams, nut butters, smoothies, soups, freshly ground flours, bread dough... the list just goes on and on! Super easy to clean and store under bench in cupboards if you so chose to. Or keep on bench top and display proudly! …Vitamix, Nutribullet etc, just can not compare to Froothie, full stop!
I bought the Optimum 8200 at the start of February 2015 … its worth every single dollar… My first blender a few years ago cost $120 from dealdirect.com. Used it for a couple of months and started leaking black oil from the bottom of the container and started to grind and produce metal dusk. Had to return the whole unit because the company did not have a replacement container... Highly recommend to anyone looking for an entry level blender that is awesome, practical and easy to use.
I have had my Optimum 8200 for a few months now and I love it, it beats the NutriBullet in all respects even price.
I originally thought a Nutribullet or Ninja would be what I would end up with but after reading review on those products I realised the quality is just not there and the price in Australian dollars is ridiculous.
I personally looked at getting the nutribullet, ninja and vitamix. Buying from an Australian owned and operated company with a 10 year warranty definitely helped me make the right decision. 30 day hassle free returns also means you have nothing to lose. Give it a go. It will quickly become your favourite appliance.
I was, I must say a little dubious when I unpacked this machine having previously owned a Nutribullet that just up and died after 3 months. My worries were unfounded. Wow wow wow..... what an amazing machine and well worth the money.
Having previously owned a nutribullet I sold that to purchase my optimum blender 9400 and I am so glad I did. I have made so many delicious things I was always unable to do in the nutribullet and the speed and power is 1000x better. Couldn't recommend it anymore.
Based on the research I did I quickly ditched the Nutribullet dream and decided I needed something better. As Jeremy Clarkson would say MORE POWER!!! We did so much research my husband became passiona te about getting a high powered blender and quickly became motivated to utilise it to increase our fruit and vegetable intake.
I already had a NutriBullet and there's no comparison...why? Well for starters you can only run the bullet for a short time before it overheats... You can't put anything hot in it and it's much to small.
Believe the reviews, don't waste time and money on other products (I have tried a few including the Nutri Bullet and Ladyship), and be assured that whilst the Optimum Blender 9400 is amazingly priced in the mid range, it offers first class service and food preparation unrivalled by no other.
I was initially tempted by the concept of the nutribullet (which had lots of negative reviews when I looked into it), but am so relieved I went with froothie which is so much more versatile and appears to be of much higher quality (eg metal parts where nutribullet is plastic).
I personally believe this Optimum 8200 was a blessing in disguise as i did not know it even existed only came across an add while looking at reviews about the Nutri-bullet.....
Never eaten so much kale in my life. Truly blitz's it and u can't noticed very smooth. Check out other brands with their plastic bits the optimum 8200 has metal where it counts and I'm sure it will last for years and years.
After initially wanting to buy a Nutribullet I decided to do some research on it and came across the Froothie site quite by accident. After reading reviews looking at the quality components and features I decided that for the same price I could forego all the unnecessary freebies of frying pans and knife sets and pay what equates to a little amount of money for a top quality product.
Its short for winning . I love this blender! I almost bought a nutribullet. . But so glad I didn't this thing is powerful its sturdy it literally tales less time to clean than to blend and I love her so much I have her a name.
Purchased this blender after my Nutribullet motor blew up. Smoke came out of the unit and everything. This Blender is amazing and lightyears ahead of the Nutribullet and it even cost less. I've used it for smoothies so far but am excited about all my options :)
We initially thought of a NutriBullet but all the reviews and specs made the optimum a better choice. And for half the price of a vitamix you can't go wrong.
Awesome machine
I use my blender daily to make a green smoothie pre-workout. I also use it to make protein balls and it can handle nuts and dates without any issues. It's wonderful and has a lot of great features. No need for a Vitamix or Thermamix when you have this one!

Exactly what I was after!
After much internet research, my wife and I decided on the Optimum over the overly priced Vitamix and we are super happy about our decision. We are smoothie junkies and love how smooth and creamy the Optimum makes every smoothie no matter what we toss in there, kale, nuts, chia, protein powders, etc. Also makes great nut butters.
